Re: [JAMAICA] Gray Family
In Response To: Re: [JAMAICA] Gray Family ()
I have a first cousin here in England whose half-brother in Jamaica was a son of Henry Gray who was a local Justice of the Peace and passed away only in the past couple of years. A dear family friend (I'm a Harris/Mitchell) is George (aka "Palo") Gray who I visited recently in Port Antonio. He spent many years in London and has at least 5 children residing here (Madge, Eileen, Fitz, Neville, Conrad). You possibly know that a stretch between Ginger House and Comfort Castle is unofficially known locally as Gray Town and is thought to be where the first maroon Grays in the upper Rio Grande valley settled in the early 19th century.
