I have noted your concerns and must advise that individuals who were born to unwed parents inthe 1930s to 1950s were registered without a surname and therefore abirth certificate cannot be issued without a surname. However,if you are married your name is on thebirth record in Jamaica then the process of Late Entry of Name would be much easier. Please send your queries through information@rgd.gov.jm.
