I too tried to apply for a birth cert middle of May 2008. The system insisted that you should have six copies - didn't know why, except because of the extortionate charge! The system kept failling and for two weeks I was emailing back and forth, having been told that there was nothing wrong with their system. I asked them to contact their IT department. Eventually the system was back online and I applied 2 June 08 for the cert. Paid to have the certs sent by post as I thought the courier method was too expensive. Two weeks ago I checked their log and the status was that the cert has been found. I emailed them asking when the cert will be posted - so far no reply. They did say on their website that I would be notified by email. Customer service is really bad and I am really disgusted that this is giving Jamaica a bad name, but who do you complain to? There doesn't seem to be any accountability.
