[PUERTO RICO] Gomez geneology San Juan Puerto Rico

My GreatGrandmother{Abuela)Daisy Gomez was born on May 19, 1888 in San Juan Puerto Rico. She had asthme and spoke castillion spanish. The year that she was born Puerto Rico was a colony of Spain. Thus, she was born under the spanish flag. My Great Grandmother immigrated to America in the early nineteen hundreds under the name Celestina D Crump. This same name was used when she was married in America. Although She died in !936, no record of her death was found. She came back to America in 1917 under the name Celestina Gomez. I believe I have relatives in Puerto Rico to help me complete my geneology. What I need to know is what my GreatGrandmothers parents name were. And secondly is my grandmothers name Daisy Gomez? or Celestina Gomez? Or Celestiana Gomez? And did she have two surnames. Also was her name spelled Gomez or Gomes. I have a picture of her, it is a painting. It is old. She arrived in America in 1904 and traveled back to puerto rico came back in 1917. I belive she was darkskin but I am not sure, because the painting is old it could have faded or she could have been light. I dont know if she died in Puerto Rico or America. I am also researcing if she had any bothers or sisters. Also, I wonder is Daisy a nickname for Dolores? Could her real name be Delores Gomez? I know the family called her Daisy. If anybody is the relative of Daisy Gomez or her other name celestina Gomez born May 19 1888 post a message whats her mothers name her fathers name and any other information and are any relatives still left out there in Puerto Rico? We whose decendents come from the carribeans need help, for we are part of the Carribean experience and history. We thank the person who created this web site and messageboard and thank the good lord. Growing up in America a descendent of Carribean in school there was virtually no history about us. Now we are older and we would like to leave our relatives Our family History and our families stories as they immigrated to America. May God Bless!
