I was reading about family coming from Jamaica to the US. My father was born in Kingston but moved to Brooklyn in about 1920, after his father and older brother had come over (just like you said!).I have always thought that they flew so would not have records of their arrival anywhere, but it sounds like maybe there may be records in Ellis Island???
