Most people born in Kingston their parents were usually from another part of the island. As far as I know there were a few settlements of Stewarts in Jamaica and knowing where your folks are originally from will give allow you to narrow your search. There was a settlment of Stewarts in Trelawny, Manchester, Clarendon St. Thomas and St. Mary.
The Stewarts originating from a plantation in May Day, Manchester, trickled down from the hills to other parts of Manchester and the plains of St. Elizabeth. If you were to pin point the origin of your Stewarts, one good way to track families is by visiting the churches in the area specifically the graveyards, this can give you a timeline from the oldest to the most recent and from there you could make enquiries of the residents as to where the living relatives might be.
There are some features of the Stewarts that are still very evident in the relatives of today -- puffy eyelids and in some a prominent nose.
