I haven't found anything concerning the Shirley family yet but I will ask my grandfather if your husband's name sounds familiar, who knows maybe we are related. Ask your husband if he knows of any Shirley's who live in the Bronx in New York, and see if these names ring a bell.

Patrica (Sonya) Shirley, Paul Shirley, Clifton Shirley, Winston Shirley, Coreen Shirley-King, Rexford (Harris) Shirley, Pansy Shirley Pinnock, Mable (May) Shirley.

These are most of my uncles and aunts...Patricia is my mother, she passed in 1991.
