I am seeking whatever assistance you can offer in obtaining a copy of my mother's Birth Certificate for which I paid a 7-day fee on March 07, 2008 to the RGD. (type of service - Late Entry of Name)

My ordeal started when I tried to renew her passport. I was told by the passport office that the number on the Birth Certificate that I had was not clear so I was to get it verified at the RGD. I had to pay one fee for that, then the Passport Office said they needed copy of the Certificate from RGD.
I attempted to apply for the Birth Certi. but was told that since her father's name was not on the certificate that I had, the situation was now affected by a new law which required that a number of forms be completed and a late entry process done. My 72 years old mother needed to get records from the first school she went along with declaration from someone 10 years older than her. Difficult though all this was I complied and since I needed the document in a timely I paid as instructed by the agent for a 7-day service.
If a private entity had done this, it would have been considered a fraudulent act?
To date all I can hear from visits, emails and calls are that it is being processed. Is there anyone out there that can help me get a Birth Certificate for my mother so that I can get on with my business.
