research findings: There was a Morris Sylvestre, employed on a ship called The Huron, the port of departure was Santo Domingo, he was employed as a waiter from june 15 to july 22, from the port of departure of santo domingo, the ship arrived in new york on july 3, 1922, his age at arrival was 22 years old, he was 5 feet 6 inches and weighed 160 pounds, his ethnicity was dutch, west indies(thus, he could have originated from Coracao in the west indies colonized by the dutch and immigrated to santo domingo where he found employement on the vessal The Huron if this be your relative. this information found on the ships manifest on www.ellisisland.org -this person is the only Sylvestre coming from the west indies.
