Re: [BARBADOS] Licorish
In Response To: Re: [BARBADOS] Licorish ()
Hello to all my Licorish relatives around the world,
Quite frankly, the name is one of the most distinctive surnames in and from Barbados and we are all related. I was in Salt Lake City a few years ago and was fascinated by some data I found that linked us to a white Licorish family that emigrated from England to Barbados in the mid-18th century; I think around 1754. The family settled on the east coast of Barbados and to this day, many Licorishes are still to be found in the parishes of St. Andrew, St. Joseph and St. John.
I would love to hear from some of you as I think we ought to attempt to establish closer contact with the family. I can be reached at 604 961-9741 or by email. I lived in England from '68-'71 and still have relatives over there.
Please get in touch.
Love to all the Licorishes.
