I was just about to send the postal order to Jamaica's record office but seeing these threads I am looking for an alternative route. Can anyone got any ideas?

I am looking for a birth date of my partners Grandmother who died in Jamaica in 1960 so we think would have been born at the turn of the century. Where can I find this information? I have little information about this lady accept her name and her parents name.

Any guidance?
