I read in 2002 that the Fair Trading Commission (FTC) had been receiving complaints about the recurrent failure of the Registrar General’s Department (RGD) to deliver service within the time frames advertised!

They are there to assist us (the consumer), therefore if the RGD keeps all their complaints in-house, then no one outside the department is aware and they are free to abuse the system at will.
