My father has always told my sister and I that our grandfather's family [LEBERT or LeBare] originally came from "the islands" Specifically he thinks that thay mixed with French - Jamaica. My understanding that a lot of Lebert are living in St, Thomas, Deside and St, James; jamaica WI. Please tell me how to go about finding exactly where my family came from and whether I have living relatives in the Carribean today.
