Researching my grandfather's lineage which surname is "Yard". My grandfather was Harold Yard and his parents were Catherine Russell and Edward Yard. All were born in St. Michaels Parish Barbados. It seems very difficult to trace back on this family because the family had scattered pretty much after leaving Barbados. Harold was born between 1899 and 1903. I have service records as well as his death certificate that have different dates.
