Lisa,
I've been able to locate information on General & David Saunders on the Archives of Maryland. General Saunders was enslaved on Thomas Reynolds' farm near Chesapeake Beach, 1793 in Calvert County. David and sister were enslaved on John H. Chew's farm in the same county. They escaped Sunday October 1814, with Harry Quary, slave of John H. Chew, and Elleck, a slave of William Ward. (Joined the British) I'm struggling to find information when they were owned in the US vs. freeman in Canada. Abraham Ross born 1789 & Eppy Carvery 1791/?(carbury/Kerberry/carvary) no leads on where they came from. I have found ref to them on the NS archives in 1818 onwards. I notice you have done research surnames like Crawley, Johnson and a few others. Did you find a Canadian connection? Messages In This Thread
