Lisa,

William Harrison was married in Gibson County, Indiana. On the application, he listed his birthplace as Ontario Canada.

That is a major step forward, but I wish he would have been more specific.
(smiles)

I understand there were four or five black settlements to which this family might have migrated. Could you recommend books that I might read to
educate myself about Ontario during the Civil War years?
