THANK YOU SO MUCH. Awhile ago I posted a message on the brick wall forum about my Kinley family. The whole long assorted tale is there. But the short version is my KINLEY family in Ohio disappears from 1841-1870. The patriarch of the family (Henry Kinley) always lived along a river. So it suddenly dawned on me that maybe the family disappeared to Canada. We know of two ancestors from the original family line George Henry Kinley and Sarah Ross Kinley (his mom/wife of Henry).

I thought I would randomly check Canada for my missing years and got this one hit for the 1851 Census. I was hoping that this George H. Kinley would be black (so that's a win). I was also hoping he would at least be with his mom Sarah (that's not a hit). The age matches exactly. The other names with him are not familiar to me. But its another lead to follow.

Do you know if there is a 1861 Canadian census and if so would you mind running the same name for me in that one? Promise last request.
