What a great story. Thanks for sharing. Actually, this kind of thing is happening more and more in Canada. For many years, there was an unwritten, yet systematic attempt to simply erase this history of black Canadians in several areas. But you know what they say, "Things done in the dark always come to light," and as the younger generations are reaching back, more and more are discovering their black Canadian heritage. I've seen this again and again. I'm glad that Ancestors in the Attic is doing this story.
