Boy, is this a bummer. They don't tell you in the announcement that it's a "work in progress," but it is. Found out the hard way that the index still needs a LOT of work, but at least all of the images are there. Trying to find my family in 1861 in Brantford, I had the option of viewing over 800 images (no thank you), so I checked with the LAC (Library and Archives Canada) to see how the townships were laid-out on the film, which helped me narrow it down. Within 15 minutes or so, I was able to find Burford Twp and, eventually, page 41 which had my people.

Not complaining as much as letting you know that if you don't find them using exhaustive searches on Ancestry, that probably just means that your folks have yet to be added to the index.
