The South Grey County Public Library now has a free, searchable index of vital records and news articles that appeared in the "Flesherton Advance" (6 Dec 1883 - 6 Sep 1950) and "The Markdale Standard" (7 Sep 1880 - 16 Mar 1950). Grey County was home to several of the claimed terminuses of the Underground Railroad, and there were a lot of black families in the area.
