In Response To: OGS Land Books Project
() Hello Lisa, Thanks for the information and I would like to accept your offer of lookups. I have ancestors, former slaves, who were captured in Kentucky, taken into Canada (1780) and dispensed to British Loyalists during the Revolutionary War. Perhaps they (former slaves) will show up in the households of the Loyalists. Loyalist----------Slave
Candis, taken by Alexander McKee, had a daughter, Rachel, who may also appear with the McKee family. Hannah, taken by Frederic Fisher, was the mother of Candis who has been described as one of Hannah's five (5) yellow children. Hannah's mother Betty/Bess, along with Hannah's siblings Grace, Rachel & Patrick were taken by the Indians (Shawnee). Thanks again, for your generous offer.....hope I didn't abuse it Art Thomas
