Black History Workshop - Feb 5 - Edmonton, AB
"A Prairie Black History Workshop" will be held on Monday, February 5, 2007 at the Stanley A. Milner Library, 7 Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton, Alberta, from 9:00am - 3:30pm. Sponsored by the Black Settlers of Alberta and Saskatchewan Historical Society (BSAS), the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the Canada Counsil for the Arts, among others, the event will consist of three panel discussions on a variety of topics: 9:30 - 11:00 - "Black History as Public History - Museums and Archives" 11:15 - 12:45 - "Current Research Projects" 1:45 - 3:15 - "History on Film" THE EVENT IS FREE and includes a luncheon sponsored by the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
