In this issue of the U of T Magazine, there is an article on a student who wrote a paper on the history of Blacks at that University. There is a phone number and email of the student who did the research, (hopefully they still work if not you could probably still track him down.)

As a U of T grad I can tell you that this University keeps really good track of their alumni, (whether you want them to or not), so you should be able to find someone with some information on this man.
