The National Institute for Genealogical Studies (NIGS) has a bunch of courses due to start on Monday, September 4th. For those of us interested in Canadian studies, their selection of courses is quite good and I highly recommend them. The NIGS is a part of the University of Toronto and offers individual courses or a certificate program (PLCGS) where you can obtain a certificate in Canadian studies, American studies, Irish, Scottish, British, etc.

I obtained my certificate in Canadian Studies with a minor in Irish studies last year. The courses are all taught online and are quite challenging and will definitely improve your genealogical research abilities.
