I am a student looking to compile information and stories on early black settlement in the Peel Region of Ontario. So far there has been little work done on this topic, and I am basically starting from scratch. I have found a few scattered names on the 1871 and 1881 censuses, but so far that is it. If anyone out there knows of any resources which might be helpful, or has any stories that they know, I would be ecstatic to hear about them! Thanks so much for your time!
