Thank you, Lisa. I've been so focused on my 'Wrinkle' line & haven't been able to uncover anything for quite some time now. Your post has prompted me to take a break & have a look (closer to home) at the Nova Scotia link. I have found my husband's ancestor, John Nix, a Hessian soldier from Germany, who settled in N.S. & applied for a land grant in 1789. This may just be the motivation I need to keep going.
