Canada didn't exist until 1867. In 1793 Lieutenant Governor John Graves Simcoe introduced abolition laws. S;avery was ended by 1810. 57 years vefore Canada even existed. "Canada", the structure of laws, rights and freedoms never had slavery, period.
Let us point to the aristocracy, mostly French, that had slaves in pre-Canada colonies.
Black slaves were sold by Black africans. Jews were prominent in the shipping industry. If we're gonna names names, lets name names. Telling half the truth is just a lie.
What was Lt. Governor John Graves Simcoe the Lt. Governor of? Not meaning to tell a half truth and certainly not a lie...should I have said "What is now known as Canada"? Art Thomas
