The Ontario Genealogical Society (OGS) has posted a CALL FOR PAPERS for their 2006 Genealogical Conference, to be held May 27-28, 2006 at the University of Toronto's Institute of Technology, about 30 miles East of Toronto.

The deadline for the CALL FOR PAPERS is Sunday, May 1,2005 and they are looking for speakers for a variety of seminar themes such as:
- Genealogy and Related Technology
- Historical Lines / Local Resources
- Immigration / Migration / Emigration - into / within / and out of the region
- Peoples of the Regions / Their Origins
- Genealogy Practices / Writing / Preservation of Documents

Proposals should include contact information, a brief biography and summary of recent speaking engagements, a title and brief description for each topic, a list of audio-visual equipment and information about handouts to be provided.

Compensation details will be provided later, but they will include lecture honoraria, seminar registration and consideration for travel, parking, accommodation and meals.
