I doubt the Ontario Black History Society will respond to your inquiry. I know there was a New Cannan in New Brunswick, but I have no knowledge of it having been a black settlement. It may have been. Try looking in nearby New Brunswick for information. The New Brunswick Provincial Archives has an excellent website full of searchable indices on a variety of topics. Perhaps you'll find the information for which you search.
