I took a look through the book, "Blacks in Canada, 1861," and could find neither a listing for Annie Tate or Annie Payne. I was really hoping to find her, but without better info, there's not much I can do. Sorry, my dear.

: name known. How long she remained in Canada is not known either

: met and married someone named YOUNG and was widowed early. No
: other details.

: I realize this is a bit sketchy - grin- but am relying on the
: memories of two relatives who are 90+ - both who remember Aunt
