Thanks, nothing yet,I am still searching,the usual,newspapers,message board messages and family memories to no avail.
The name in New York was so common and the one I thought could possible be the right one Charles and Charolette seems to have just dissappeared after 1930 census no marriage,child birth, or other census record. I recently searched the Military record for Manhattan WW1 nothing, he may have entered from another state.
One last item is that he was a foreman at Water Works so I will contact the city for former employees and see if they have records
