There are a lot of contradicting information here, one important thing that I did not mention is that Sallie had a brother George Taylor born in the early 1870s. I have his social security application where he states his father to be unknown. It is possible that he and Sallie had the same father (someone Taylor).

More research needed, I'll keep looking.
