and husband (perhaps) Frank WILLIAMS in 1870 and 1880 (TN, AL) - I'd appreciate it.

Hello Denise,

The name, or nickname, of Fanny/Fannie doesn't seem to follow any pattern from a particular given name in my research. I can follow some "Etta's" from Harriette, Marietta, Henrietta and such, but nothing consistent for Fanny/Fannie. So perhaps her given name in no way connects to Fanny/Fannie.
