I was hopeful that the next time I hear from you about your Great-Grandmother, Rosa, would be in the AfriGeneas Surname Forum and that you would be announcing good news......good news that you had finally found her. I am also still working on my RIVERS surname in Washington County, Georgia.

Just a suggest: since you feel that you are still up against a brick wall, perhaps if Rosa's daughter matured to a young lady and you have her date of death.....you could still consider requesting a SS-5 form on her. I'm sure you are well aware that requesting SS-5 forms without the social security number is $29 verses $27. Worth a try!

Did you manage to find any obituaries on any of her children? You mention that her death certificate listed Philadelphia, PA. Did you request information from the funeral home and or cemetery?
How long did she live in Philadelphia before her death? Perhaps the Philadelphia city directory would have her and or her son listed.
