Re: Spivey dead end
In Response To: Spivey dead end ()
Rochelle, I found david in 1920 but not in 1930, so I can't 'doublecheck' the children's names. Senie D in 1920 is that Arsena? Anyway, David's sister Daisy B Holly is listed as single (and only 14 years old) in 1920, are you sure that she married a Holly/Hally or could that have been her maiden name? Also, in 1920, David's age is 40, so it looks like around 1880 can be his birth year. I think David's WWII draft registration card is on ancestry.com, and 'person who will always know your address' field shows 'Lulu Honley'. If you don't know who that is, please try to find out, it looks remarkably close to 'Holley'. I did not find anything in 1910, but in 1900 there is a family you should check out in Martin County, NC, Parmele township, District# 32, page# 22B:
A couple of households above you have some Knight families (Mary is not listed there though). If the 1900 family is your family, there is also another Spivie/Spiver family a couple of households above, head is Nathaniel. Continuing back in through the census, in 1880 there is another family that you should check out in Edgecombe County NC, Upper Conatoe, district 4, page# 84:
And in 1870, Edgecombe County NC, Upper Conatoe, page# 14:
Hope it helps!
