My family has taken the WEST DNA test and we matched the descendants of James West, b. 1725, Willis West, 1755 and Lloyd/Loyd West b. 1799. The markers were a perfect match 25 markers out of 25. So we do have the same DNA as the above set of West and 4 more in TX, LA, AR and TN.

My father used to tell me about the West family, Kirby West was Ransom's son, right? Do you know of a cemetery that was named after Kirby West? Some of my ancestors were buried there, I have their death certs.

We were looking for this West cemetery on Rte 1620 near the old Westbrook School, its now a Senior Citizen Building and its near my home church (Littlefield Missionary Baptist Church)on Newton Grove Highway (formeryly Rte 13).

We looked for it in 2001 and it was overgrown or cotton was planted there. Do you live in that area? I don't now. I live in Maryland outside of Washington, DC.
