Thank you for your assistance. I have answers to the questions you posed, examined and have answered most of the possibilities. I will definitely expand the search to include the migration route (trail) from Greene County, IL to Bastrop County, TX. Given the fact that the family left IL around 1835 and arrived in TX around 1837. They were apart of the 2nd group of emigrates to Austin's Little Colony. It appears that the family travelled along the Mississippi River into either AR or LA and then travelled by land into TX.

And yes I am trying to located the parent of Julia who I believed was aquired by Robert F. Whitaker between 1836-1840.
