I have a friend that does alot of research in the Court Order Books for Albemarle County I am going to check with him, to see what he has.

I do have some material here related to Albemarle......but I am trying to get a time line straight in my head about the information that you posted. I can tell you that the surname is spelled numerous ways in the Albemarle records, Goen, Goens, Goin, Going, Goings, Goining, Goins..but you probably know that.

Michael is in Albemarle in 1828 when he is recorded in the Register, along with Henderson Going and Reuban Ailstock, but gone from the 1833 List that includes Henderson? The next time you locate him he is in 1840 in OHIO with wife Verlinda (married in 1835-location?).
