I searched the message boards on Genealogy.com and have been able to email and converse with a possible white Walker family member. She is descended from ALLEN WOOD WALKER, who had a son named HAMPTON CLAY WALKER. Our family has long suspected that this HAMPTON was the father of my G-pa George Walker. We hope that wills and other records might unlock the mystery of who George's mother was. He only knew she was black and born in VA. This is very exciting. I am waiting for the research results of Allen's and Hampton's wills and property records. Good luck to both of us, Vera!
