Your information looks solid to me. The records point out genealogy rule #1 "Spelling Doesn't Count" when looking at the various spellings for the names of the family members on the various source records.
The differing names for Rebecca, with their spellings could be nicknames for Rebecca .... with spelling and transcription errors.
From the ages of the children it appears that Martha, Sallie & George may have been born before Cezar & Rebecca began their period of cohabitation. They are listed in Dr. Barnetta McGhee White's NC Cohabitation works in vol. I of Somebody Knows My Name as being "legally" married in 1866 following six (6) years of cohabitation in Beaufort Co., NC (Bisey Barnett & Cezar Potter).
My observation is that you are on the right track and these are the same people in your listed sources A-D.
Congratulations!! good work & keep us posted as to your ongoing research.
I am seeking help with a brick wall in my research. I cannot seem to get further than my 4x great Grandfather, Cezar Potter and can't even be certain about him and his wife's identity. I listed 5 resources below from A-E that support him and his wife(s) identity but I'm not convinced the same person is reflected in each one. I obtained these resources from researching their daughter, Leah Potter (my 3x great grandmother). The older the records the more discrepancies I find. Can anyone advise? All comments appreciated.
