Effie Caldwell- Monroe Ms -who

In 1893 Effie Caldwell married Lee Adams in Monroe MS.

I went to Monroe Chancery Court House and found a marriage certificate for them. Doc Adams brother of Lee signed to allow them to get married.

In 1900 on the Monroe MS census, I found Lee Adams married to Arthy Caldwell. Totally different spelling for grgrandma .

On the death cerificates of sons of Lee and Arthy/Effie is the spelling Authur,Authy/Authry Caldwell as the mother.

I have done searches for all spellings of names and it brings me back to what I found in 1900. Sometime in 1910-1920 (I'll use the surname for grgrandma), she is no where on the census.

I can't figure out where or when she was born. Considering she was living in the south I came up with an idea that when asked what her 1st name was, it may have sounded like she said Audrey.

Did a search for that name but couldn't determine a family group that she may be in before marriage. I have no idea what her age was, but somewhere in one of those many genealogy workshops, someone suggested she may have been under age for that time period and maybe none of her family was around to sign the marriage bond. The only thing I know about Effie Caldwell's beginnings is the marriage Certificate in 1893.

It's like she showed up and disappeared. I've also been told there may have been a sister named FLEET. I did a city search in St Louis and found a Fleet Lane. No one remember's if she was married but she supposedly had a daughter whom she moved with to possibly New York or Ohio.

Everything on this maternal side is just dead ends. I hope this Brick Wall Forum can point me to something new.
