I didn't quite get all of it, but while I was 'browsing', found the following reference (which you probably already have ).

Davidson Co., Nashville Births (1881-1913)

Thompson, Inf of Houst(?) and Thompson, Lou (Oct 22)

There are also listings (child births) for West and Lula Thompson (1893), William and Ella Thompson (1894, 1898) and William and Ellen Thompson (1896) [perhaps the same couple].
Then, there is a bith for Infant of --- [no name] and Louise Thompson (1896).
I discounted William and Ella/Ellen, since they continued to have children (together) long past 1891.

Of course, I looked for these couples in Davidson County in the 1900 census. Hard to find ...

He must be out there somewhere.
