Well I just recieved an email from a another researcher of the white Moore family in question of Perry County, AL that I am researching as possible last slave holder (Charles Hamilton MOORE d. September 1862). This gentleman, a descendant of that family, will be going to NC to do some research at the Wilmington Library and has offererd to "see what he could find" while he is there. He seen my post on the Yahoo!! Group "MOORE-SOUTH"
This Moore family came from the Spartanburg Disrict, SC to Perry County, AL in the 1820's. C.H. Moore is a brother of former Governor Andrew Barry MOORE, who I am also researching.
