Tony....ohhhhhh, wondered about these families. Angelina and Maranda Marrast I have noted listed in the 1870 census. Also there was a slaveholder in Tuscaloosa named Marrast....hmmmmmmm. I think I have been hitting around some significant information for quite awhile, but haven't been able to get to the crux of the find.

I am planning a trip to the Montgomery Archives in November so I hope to delve deeper into these lines.
