I am currently reading "Cain River". It was one of my Book Club selections. As a genealogist when I read an historical or a genealogical book the first thing I look for is endnotes, footnotes or bibliographies.

Unfortunately "Cane River" did not have endnotes, footnotes nor bibliographies. I am sure a lot of research went into the making of this book and as an historian and genealogist I feel that a book like this should have some documentation listed so that the readers can check and learn from.

Although the author stated that this book was a book of fiction based on facts and truths, I would have loved to see the documentation of the facts and truths.
