Re: A A Guide to Writing and Publishing Nonfiction

Timothy,

Here's your holla' back and tha hook-up:

1. Buy or borrow Ms. Rhodes's book; and READ it.

2. Check out the 'Writer's Forum' and do a search on publish or publishing.

3. Check out the magazine, 'Black Issues Book Review' (BIBR), whose every issue has a column by Dr. Rosie called "Ask The Book Doctor" about publishing.

4. Share some of your writing with the Afrigeneas family at the 'Writer's Forum'; http://www.afrigeneas.com/forum-writers/

We are delighted to hear from our young aspiring writers as well as our elder scribes. Voices need to be heard from all corners of the African-American community and experience.

Language, spoken or text, succeeds when it communicates. Whether it's hip-hop, old school, bourgeois, foreign or patios you got to reach folks, connect.

"..By the way this is simply color dialog. (I don't actually write in this voice)...". Now you have to do the above #4 just to prove it! In other words, be true to yourself and write in your voice!

Props to you. We're jazzed that you're steppin' out there with a [completed] manuscript. The way we can hook you up is by pointing you to resources.

Welcome!

Peace
"Guided by the Ancestors"
