"Soul to Soul" is a wonderful book to me. Painted a picture that is very little seen or acknowledged.
There is more written on the trans atalantic trade and not much on the cross country trade. The states that supplied trade of slave to the south when the trans atlantic trade was slowed.
"Many Thousand Gone, The first two Centuries of Slavery in North America" by Ira Berlin
is another book I have enjoyed. If I remember corretly he speaks of the Atlantic Creoles struggle these former slaves received there freedom to having land to laws changeing against freemen, to loseing it all and being returned to slavery.
Any books you recomend is valued.
