I thought I would leave this posting as it may be of interest to those involved in Genealogy. I am a white skinned male who happens to be a descendent of Kashta (Black Nubian King), who reigned from c. 760 to 747 B.C. He is my 103rd Grandfather, that is to say he is my Grandfather 103 generations back. Kashta's successor was his son Piy, who reigned for about thirty years. In 730 B.C. king Piy set off with his armies northwards into Egypt and conquered the entire country. He assumed the title of pharaoh. Although Piy retained Napata as his capital, his brother and successor, Shabako, moved the royal residence to Memphis in Egypt. I donít consider being a descendent of Kashta unique only to me as I am sure most of Europe could also find this same connection through researching their genealogy.
