Re: Congo
In Response To: Re: Congo ()
This in fighting is a human things and all groups (Africans, Asians, Europeans, Native American, etc) have a history of engaging in this type of behavior. Unfortunately, colonization, imperialism, neo-imperialism, and racism/white supremacy has only exacerbate the conflict amongst African people and other people of color by using existing conflicts based on religion differences, gender, skin class, socio-economic class, ethnicities, etc as a pawn to maintain economic and political control. This is not to make excuses for the behavior but to put them in a historical perspective and to begin the process of viewing these atrocites as something not paticular to African people but as a human behavior. The most powerful weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the minds of the oppressed.
