Re: Congo
In Response To: Re: Congo ()

To Brother Mageba, are you saying that the men in the Congo have self hatred and want to be whiteskin? and as a result of their selfhatred they do not like their own women and prefer european women? Thus, having self hatred for themselves and their own people, it means nothing to them to rape women and children and destroy a whole race of people for the love of europeans? or perhaps, there is some natural resource in the congo that two powers are vying over and they are paying each tribe to fight each other, because these two powers are competing for natural resources? what is really going on in the congo?

You are correct in that observation and that these are contributing elements in the self destruction of a once mighty nation (Kongo kingdom). The criticism that I make are based on my experiences and research as my some ancestors immigrated from the Congo Basin and the former province of Angola. In ancient times there were pledges taken by family members to avenge the capture and enslavement of said members. There was once a sense of kinship that overrode foreign escapades but years of misrule and corruption has destroyed the normal sense of outrage. This same scenario can apply to the entire African world as leaders desperately pursue European, Arab and American fantasies. African life is devalued and correspondingly value of non-African lives is lauded. Whether Palestinian, Israeli, Afghan or Princess Diana, The level of concern is greater than is for Sierra Leone, Darfur or Kenya. Our people are sensitized to feel a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood for those alien to us because of ideological constructs and absence of self analysis. Our people have thoughtlessly internalized cliches as our mantra without examining who gains and loses through our actions.
